Gruesome Incidents Ever in Kisii

1. GRISLY ACCIDENT ON KISII-KILGORIS ROAD

This is one of the most terrifying incidents ever on the Gusii history, where 8 people perishes in a single day. The 8, among them university students, were reported to have set out for a party but met the angel of death before they reached their destination.

2. COLLAPSE OF DARAJA MOJA BUILDING
The building at the most busy entrance to the peaceful town was reduced to rubles, killing a number and injuring a score. KDF rescue wing was deployed in the area to help in saving lives, bringing order and preventing further loss. 3. THE DARAJA MBILI MATRIMONIAL THEFT The most busy market in Nyanza woke up to drama as a man and a lady, said to be married to different partners, were caught by a witchdoctor's trap. They were ferries in a blanket to the doctor's home for separation.

The Abagusii Community

The Kisii (also known as AbaGusii) is a community of Bantu people who inhabit two counties: Kisii (formerly Kisii District ) and Nyamira in Nyanza Province , Western Kenya. Gusii is the fond reference to their homeland and Mogusii is culturally identified as their founder and patriarch. Kisii town - known as Bosongo by the locals - is located in Nyanza Province to the southwest of Kenya and is home to the Gusii people. The name Bosongo is believed to have originated from Abasongo (to mean the Whites) who lived in the town during the colonial times. According to the 1979 census, Kisii District had a population of 588,000. The AbaGusii increased to 2.2 million in the latest Kenya Census 2009. SAKAGWA ACADEMIC BLOCK This is one of the most busy building in the institution. It houses more than 50 offices and a number of ultramodern lecture halls. Its entrance always seems busy due to the high number of people who use the facilities it offers.
