Education CS Fred is on the limelight once again after uttering remarks that have been received as negative to the country's security status. In his address to Jubilee supporters in Etago Kisii County, Matiang'i said that he is not in fear of any politician, directly calling himself 'Enkororo' (singular for Chinkororo), the former traditional Gusii warriors.
"...anybody playing with me should know that I don't fear him/her. I am an Enkororo," Matiang'i said in Ekegusii.
The CS then urged the Abagusii to ignore violence and emulate peace so as to uphold peace and avoid losing property. A group of socialites have since then sparked an online war with the CS saying that Chinkororo is an outlawed militia and should face state opposition. Others have then urged the CS to resign while others have urged the director of public of prosecution to investigate him. Matiang'i has been silent over the matter since its initialisation.
